Always wanted to learn how to tuft? In our 5 hour course, we teach you all you need to know to get started, and you'll leave this class as a tufting pro! What will you learn? - All there is to know about the 3 different types of guns (cut pile, loop pile and long pile) and how each one gives the yarn a different height. If you want to give your carpet depth, you get to use all 3 guns! - What to look for in searching for the perfect fabric - Which wool to use - Transferring your design onto the canvas - Tufting! FINALLY - How to finish your design (shaving, sculpting, gluing, backing, etc). You can choose your own design, get inspiration from our pinterest board, instagram, or look books in the shop, all featuring tufted carpets from previous students and teachers. Whatever you wish! There is a maximum of 7 participants for the workshop. Let's get ready to tuft! What do you get? - Your own custom designed rug! Cancellation Policy
If you cannot be present at your lesson, please notify us no later than one week (!) before the start by e-mail (Info@shaggies-amsterdam.com). If you need to cancel between seven days and 24 hours before, your booking can be transferred to another date, subject to availability, with a max of 1 reschedule. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop can’t be refunded or rescheduled, as materials and preparation will already be in place.
