Our 3 hour crash course. Learn the basics while making a 30x40cm carpet using the common tufting gun
Service Description
In our 3 hour course, we teach you all you need to know to get started! What will you learn? - All there is to know about the cut pile gun (the tufting gun you've seen all over social media!) - What to look for in searching for the perfect fabric - Which wool to use - Transferring your design onto the canvas - Tufting! FINALLY - How to finish your design (shaving, sculpting, gluing, backing, etc). You can choose your own design or get inspiration from our look book, featuring tufted carpets from previous students and teachers. Whatever you wish! Important for this class: - Due to the time restraint, your design can't have too many details. Simple, figurative and abstract designs work best! - The design you will make will be A3 sized (30 x 40cm). There is a maximum of 7 participants for the workshop. Let's get ready to tuft! What do you get? - Your own handmade, custom designed rug! - Unlimited coffee/tea/soft drinks, cookies & snacks!
Cancellation Policy
Cancelation policy: If you cannot be present at your lesson, please notify us no later than one week (!) before the start by e-mail (Info@shaggies-amsterdam.com). If you need to cancel between seven days and 24 hours before, your booking can be transferred to another date, subject to availability, with a maximum 2 reschedules. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop can’t be refunded or rescheduled, as materials and preparation will already be in place.
